Our aims are to evolve the education and livelihoods of children, families and teachers in rural, destitute communities and schools by offering nutrition relief and innovative training techniques which provide independence, a quality education and a sustainable future.
We are a UK registered charity (no. 1110096) and a registered Trust in Zimbabwe (no. 198). Our audited accounts can be found here. In the UK, Zimbabwe’s Children is a self-supporting part of The Aletheia Foundation founded by Brian Woods, Deborah Shipley and Jezza Neumann. The UK Founders recognise they can only succeed and have a sustainable outcome working with like-minded Zimbabwean people in the UK and most importantly – on the ground at grass roots level.
Therefore, The Feeding Minds Trust (FMTZ) was registered with Zimbabwean Trustees who manage the projects and work alongside the communities we support – the children, families and teachers.
We do not have any fancy offices or expensive overheads! We have Trustees, several part-time employees, voluntary beneficiaries and partners. No aid organisation can succeed without a passionate, hard-working and very proactive team – we are extremely fortunate to have just that at very little cost, along with the many peace loving, intelligent and driven people of Zimbabwe whom we are proud to work with every day.
Our donors have remained loyal as they’ve watched their donations being stretched to have as wide an impact as possible. Without the Zimbabwean team, our loyal donors and partners we could not have achieved the level of success our programmes display. Thank you and please continue to support us!
