Esta, Grace and Obert are just four of many hundreds of thousands of children struggling to survive in Zimbabwe.
It's difficult for British charities to operate in Zimbabwe, but some like Oxfam and Save the Children are still bravely persevering, and helping many children like those featured in the film. International charities like SOS Children's Villages are successfully running child sponsorship programmes in Zimbabwe. And HIV/AIDSl/ZIMBABWE (HAZ) is a grassroots initiative by Zimbabweans aimed at getting others to take on a more aggressive role in addressing the HIV/AIDS issues affecting Zimbabwe and fellow Zimbabweans.
Details of some other charities working in Zimbabwe can be found on the ZANE website - Zimbabwe a National Emergency. These include The Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation (ZBF) launched in May 2004, to raise funds for the welfare of victims of political persecution.
